What is a sediment water filter cartridge?
It's usually placed as the first stage of the water filtration system to remove rust, iron, sand, silt and particulates from water. As the first line of defense in the filtration system. It's a best choice for removing fine sediment from well water / hard water / city water / municipal water / drinking water, etc.

What is a micron rating?
The unwanted particles found in water are measured in microns. For example, a filter with a micron rating of 5 will filter out contaminants of 5 micron or larger. Our filter with 99% efficiency rating removes 99% of the particles at all above the 5 micron size.

How to choose the right size?
If you choose the right size for your housing, there are not great influence on the flow rate when you replace them. The size is small: there is a significant drop in flow rate.The size is large: there is still some sediment in your water. Please make sure the size is meet your need before ordering.

20 inches x 2.5 inches 5 micron polypropylene sediment filter cartridge. Compatible with a wide rage of industrial filter housings and the whole house filter housings. It is widely used in whole house filtration system, as pre-filter for water softener system.

Lifetime:

For better water quality, recommended replace TWO or THREE times a year, depending on the quality of the original water source and application type. Recommended change out differential pressure is 30psi(2.1bar).
